Ever since Gemini Film Circuit bought the Telugu and Tamil remake rights of 3 Idiots from Vidhu Vinod Chopra, there is widespread anticipation about the lead roles.
The latest buzz is that the producers are trying to rope in Vijay to play Aamir Khan's role in the Tamil remake and that Udhayanidhi Stalin may enact one of the lead roles. Madhavan has already stated that he is open to reprise his role in Tamil.
3 Idiots is the highest grossing Hindi film in Tamil Nadu, where it has managed to gross a record Rs. 1.65 crore from 22 screens in its very first week. Nation-wde, the film is said to have grossed about Rs. 240 crores in just 10 days.
